Dusk over Lake Glenmaggie last Sunday night, and I was busily packing for my Mountain Ash book tour to southern Queensland.
Mountain Ash is Number 3 on Collins Booksellers Australia and I couldn't be more chuffed, thrilled, teary, touched and excited.
I was thrilled to join the lovely Cathryn Hein at her site for her first Friday Feast for autumn 2014 (AUTUMN... ALREADY!)
To celebrate my (Juliet's) new releases THE JANUARY WISH and FEBRUARY OR FOREVER, the first two books in my small town series set in Tarrin’s Bay; The Town of New Beginnings, I’m running a special interview segment called ‘At Home With…’
This last weekend was spent in Melbourne. Yes, I had a book due out. Yes, I was as busy as an ant before it rains, but this was one girl’s trip not to be missed. Ranging in age from early fifties down to early twenties, this bunch of girls (who usually get-together up on the high plains around Christmas) were on their annual pilgrimage to the city. Shopping, dinner and a show were on the agenda for Pam, Megan, Gail, Kristy, Wendy, Sam and myself.
MOUNTAIN ASH is officially launched! Ya HOO! Over 100 people joined me last night at Duart Homestead, Maffra to celebrate the release of my third print novel. And what an evening it was too!
Thank you so much for all your enthusiasm for the launch of MA. We had a fabulous night. There's a blog post to follow with pics so if you're interested keep an eye out for that or come back to my site later today (it takes a while to load the pictures!)
Because there are so many of you lovely people who can't make it to Gippsland tonight for the launch of Mountain Ash, it's only fair that I share the joy around a little bit - so I'm giving away a signed copy of the book to anybody who would care to claim it.
Recently, after I returned from the Nunniong High Plains, I was delighted to find a letter sitting in my mailbox. It was from one of my favourite authors, a delightful girl who I met for the first time last year (it still sounds odd calling 2013 'last year'!) when I was in Fremantle, W.A.
