I'm thrilled to bits that Mountain Ash is a finalist in the 2014 Australian Romance Reader (ARR) Awards.

Nominated in the Favourite Contemporary Romance category, alongside some other wonderful books and authors, it's such an honour to be listed.

Voting is open to members until 14th February.

Winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner to be held on 7 March 2015 in Canberra as part of the Australian Romance Readers Convention.

Need Help With Your Christmas Shopping List?

The first week of December  - my official crank up week for Christmas. Unfortunately, as I have edits due at two publishing houses for both ROSE RIVER and my new US novella, I haven't gotten into festive mode yet. Although I'd better hurry, the kids are currently counting down the days until end of school and I haven't even STARTED Christmas shopping yet!

We Have a Winner & Book Week

ROSE RIVER UPDATE

There was great excitement here on the Hill on Friday night! I finally heard back from my publisher to say she, LOVES my new book ROSE RIVER!!! The comments went like this, 'I love it! It's like Bridget Jones in the Bush! It's funny, charming and still maintains that obvious love for the country and country characters.'

WHOO HOO! I'm a happy, happy girl!

Spring has sprung ...

SPRING

Spring is here! As we have spent the last few months planting bare rooted deciduous trees on the property and roses in the garden, I am really looking forward to seeing our new plants bloom. So much so that I'm daily checking the buds on the plants, literally willing them to explode into flower. I really, really REALLY want to see what these new roses look like in real life rather than just a picture in the Treloars roses catalogue!

Lumberjack Cake

Sunday afternoon usually sees us with visitors coming down the drive. Our property is locally classified as being ‘way out there’ which in terms of the rest of Australia really isn’t very far ‘way out there’, but in a more populated Victoria, I guess we are, in effect … well, ‘way out there’. Ahem.

About Alissa Callen's BENEATH OUTBACK SKIES (and a giveaway)

Today on my blog, we're hosting a lovely girl I met in Dubbo, whilst on tour last year for HOPE'S ROAD. She is also a rural author with Random House, Australia, and along with that, a wife, mother to four rug-rats and is somehow keeping it all together in this mad world just like me. We really clicked and so it's with great delight I'd like to introduce you to Alissa Callen.
